Job description and required skills :
Food & Beverage : employees prepare and serve food and beverage items. You will be in close contact with guests and assist them with purchases. You will be trained in sales, customer service, store cleanliness, food safety, and how to properly display items in the store. Duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: 1. Using a cash register to ring-up transactions. 2. Counting money and giving change to guests. 3. Accepting money for purchases, accepting returns and hand receipts to guests. 4. Organizing credit card slips and reconciling the cash register at the end of the shift. 5. Cleaning counters, floors, equipment, and stocking shelves. 6. Cooking, preparing, and serving a variety of food and beverage items. 7. Providing outstanding customer service by being approachable and welcoming. 8. Assessing situations to determine the best solution and putting that solution into motion, including requesting the assistance of a supervisor/manager where appropriate. 9. Being flexible to work at different stand and/or location positions and must be knowledgeable of all work stations requirements and functions. 10. Performing miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned. General cleaning is required. After Labor Day, September 3, 2018, employer is only opened on weekends. Hours will also be available during the week assisting with cleaning and setting up for fall and winter attractions.
Ride Operators : are responsible for the proper operation of amusement rides during all situations of operation. They monitor rides using control panels, observe rides while in motion, enforce and communicate all park rules, restrictions, safety guidelines, and instructions in accordance with employer’s policies and procedures. Ride Operators will be trained to safely operate rides and attractions, customer service, cleanliness, and safety. Additional duties may be assigned by supervisor. Duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: 1. Cleaning and organizing the ride area at the beginning of each shift and continuing to clean throughout the day. 2. Directing guests to load and unload in a safe, efficient manner, including assisting children on and off the ride. 3. Providing verbal instructions to guests at the start and end of each ride and, in some cases, during the ride cycle. 4. Verifying height before loading guests. 5. Recognizing, and responding to, inappropriate guest behavior, regulating guest’s actions, and requesting assistance from supervisor and managers as needed. 6. Providing outstanding customer service skills by being approachable and welcoming while still enforcing rules and regulations 7. Assessing situations to determine the best solution and putting that solution into motion, including requesting the assistance of a supervisor/manager where appropriate. 8. Being flexible to work at different ride and/or attraction positions and must be knowledgeable of all work stations requirements and functions. 9. Must follow Kennywood grooming code, be a team player, be able to work in a fast paced environment and still provide excellent customer service, work in varying weather conditions, and be on time.

Uniform : Full uniform and shoes are provided by employer for $72. Cost of uniform will be deducted incrementally to ensure wages do not fall below minimum wage.
Housing : Employer provides housing. Participants live in shared, fully furnished houses. The houses have 2 bedrooms with two single beds and 1 bathroom. The houses are fully furnished and include: television, plates, glasses, and other household items.
Housing Cost : $37.50 per person every two weeks.
