Job description and required skills :
POSITION PLACEMENT IS NOT GUARANTEED. PARTICIPANTS ARE PLACED AHEAD OF TIME, BUT POSITION MAY CHANGE BASED ON EXPERIENCE, QUALIFICIATIONS, AND EMPLOYER NEED. Must be fluent in English. Participant must be comfortable speaking on the phone, be outgoing, and friendly.
Front Desk Attendants : are responsible for registering and assigning rooms to guests, issuing room keys, transmitting and receiving messages, keeping records of occupied rooms and guests’ accounts, making and confirming reservations, presenting statements, and collecting payments from departing guests. Employees must provide excellent customer service to guests. General cleaning is required. Additional responsibilities may be assigned by supervisor as needed.
Laundry Attendants : are responsible for washing and folding of all bed linens and towels; sorting, folding, distributing clean linens; assisting coworkers when necessary; delivering and picking up laundry; and communicating in a kind and courteous manner with hotel guests. General cleaning is required. Additional responsibilities may be assigned by supervisor as needed.
Lifeguard : High English level. Must be able to pass lifeguarding written and swimming test. Swimming test includes treading water for 2 minutes with hands above water, swimming 200-500 meters, and a simulated rescue. Certification and training will be in the US. Mt. Olympus pays for certification ($75) as long as participant works through program end date listed on job offer. Certification is free of charge unless student is fired or leaves before program end date listed on this job offer.
Housekeepers : are responsible for cleaning rooms and common areas daily, cleaning bathrooms including shower curtains, walls, mirrors, tubs, toilet, and floor; dusting room items, vacuuming floors, cleaning inside drawers and under the beds. General cleaning is required. Additional responsibilities may be assigned by supervisor as needed.
Ticket Sellers : are responsible for greeting guests in a kind and courteous manner, assisting guests, answering questions, selling park tickets, putting on guests’ wristbands, and using a cash register. General cleaning is required. Additional duties may be assigned as needed.

Uniform : Participant must bring black pants, black socks & black shoes, & undershirt. Uniform top is provided by employer for $25 ($28 plus size) & $5.50 for nametag. Deducted from paycheck incrementally to ensure weekly wages do not fall below minimum wage.
Housing : Dormitory-style housing. Housing will have a shower, bathroom, bunk beds or beds. Participants are expected to clean up after themselves and help with keeping housing clean. If participant does not want to live in employer provided housing, participant MUST contact employer as soon as possible and BEFORE arrival. Otherwise, employer will assume participant needs housing and will reserve it on behalf of participant. If participant does not tell employer ahead of time of new housing arrangements, then participant may lose job.
Housing Cost : $75 per person, per week. Must have first two weeks’ rent upon move-in in addition to deposit.
