Job Description :

Barista : Baristas are required to: -Prepare food and beverages to standard recipes or customized for customers, including recipe changes such as temperature, quantity of ingredients or substituted ingredients -Meet store operating policies and standards, including providing quality beverages and food products, cash handling and store safety and security, with or without reasonable accommodation -Engage with and understand our customers, including discovering and responding to customer needs through clear and pleasant communication -Ensure guest satisfaction by taking orders, delivering food and drinks and giving over-all prompt service -Control guest limitations by working with sound judgment while being aware of when a guest is intoxicated and following through with company policy -Ensure guest satisfaction by setting up entire station – stocking and cleaning area through the entire shift -Verify guest is of legal age by asking for identification in a friendly manner if the guest requests alcohol -Create the best possible experience for the guest by giving quality service and exceeding expectations of the guest -Create a better rapport with the staff by assisting co-workers when possible -Provide information to the guest by being knowledgeable about the resort -Maintain good personal hygiene by pressing uniform, wearing a nametag and being well groomed when arriving for the shift -Ensure proper distribution of revenue by making sure all closeout reports are filled out properly – ensuring that money, credit cards and checks are balanced -Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed

Busser : Bussers are required to: -Help one another out to have smooth running shifts among staff by assisting other employees when possible -Ensure that the guests see fresh, intelligent, well-groomed and professional appearance at all times by maintaining personal hygiene, clean neat hair, light use of perfumes and colognes, tasteful use of cosmetics, clean shaven face, moderate jewelry, clean hands and nails, and full clean pressed uniform -Maintain a clean, safe work environment by performing extra duties such as mopping, dusting, sweeping, re-organizing, vacuuming, and cleaning windows and glass -Maintain clean silverware in side stations and on tables by polishing silverware before stocking stations and spot-checking before silverware goes on tables -Maintain quicker and more efficient service by sorting silverware and stocking glasses constantly -Help wait staff do an efficient job by stocking ice, filling water pitchers and making coffee -Provide servers with help by picking up dirty plates, filling coffee mugs and water glasses -Provide 100% guest satisfaction by attending to guest’s needs -Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed

Cashier : Cashiers are required to: -Collect payment -Compute items and services sold to guest showing amounts due and collecting the amount due -Ensure correct revenue -Input amounts collected into the cash system -Record amounts received -Record transactions on daily report and balancing report to cash register tape -Control proper distribution of revenue -Close checks to the correct payment type to ensure closing reports are balanced -Help management with the control of sales -Make sure that all items are rung up and accounted for -Contribute to team effort -Accomplish related results as needed

Food Runner : Expo/Food Runners are required to: -Greet guests with the upmost respect -Effectively run food from the expo counter to the customer -Make sure that the order is complete and correct before taking to the guest -Maintain the cleanliness of work area at all times -Make sure that all essential items are stocked and ready for service at all times -Work as a team to make sure that all opening, mid shift, and closing side work is completed each day -Handle any complaints as quickly as possible with the correct procedures -Promote the restaurant and resort functions by being knowledgeable about the resort and being able to communicate this information with guests -Communicate effectively with both Front of House and Back of house staff -Ensure all safety of other staff and patrons during service -Carry out any other duties as advised from time to time

Host : Hosts are required to: -Inform guests of items that are not presented on the menu by presenting the menu to the guests and announcing the daily specials of food and drink -Create first impression for the guest and sets the mood for dining experience by greeting guests promptly and being friendly and well-groomed -Maintain smooth flow and set the pace of the restaurant by controlling a guest wait list for overflow -Provide guests service by answering questions for the guests and informing the guest about other activities the resort might offer -Help wait staff by seating guests according to the wait list and not over-seating -Provide fast, efficient service to guests by greeting the guest and answering the phone promptly -Provide guest satisfaction by attending to guest’s needs -Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed

Line Cook : Line Cooks are required to: -Precisely and consistently deliver on guest food orders by following recipes and instructions from the Executive Chef, Outlet Chef and Sous Chefs -Efficiently deliver guest food orders by maintaining a high output of work congruent to business demands. Prepare plate menu items, as ordered, per specifications on hot food production line with strict attention to detail, speed, and accuracy. -Safely prepare food by using knives, ovens, grills, warming trays and other restaurant cooking instruments in accordance to culinary standards for safe operation -Aid the culinary team by following a checklist to prepare and stock ingredients for other meals, set up mise en place as per posted instructions, prepare recipe per standardized recipes and production sheets, -Communicate with Associates, management, clients, owners and others in a courteous and professional manner, and in accordance with Alterra Brand and Standards -Positively and professionally respond to Outlet Chef/Sous Chef/Executive Chef requests to complete tasks assigned to culinary standards, including but not limited to: preparation work, dishwashing, cooking food, plating food, sanitizing the kitchen with chemicals, transporting food deliveries from dock and unpacking in dry and cold storage, keeping work station neat and sanitized, and other duties -Assist culinary team in ordering, inventory, recipe card preparation and implementation, menu development, and scheduling of staff. Report any spoilage or shortage to Sous Chef immediately -Maintain walk-in coolers in accordance with Snowshoe Standards and WV Department of Health Standards -At completion of service put all perishable foods in covered containers and refrigerate -Clean station and report to Sous Chef for closing instructions -Assist Outlet Chef/Sous Chef/Executive Chef with assigning, directing, addressing complaints and resolving problems in absence of superiors. Barista : $9.00 per hour

Busser : $4.25 per hour plus 2% of individual server overall sales tip out (only applies to exact shift worked)

Cashier : $8.75 per hour

Food Runner : $4.25 per hour plus 1% of individual server food sales tip out (only applies to exact shift worked)

Host : $8.75 per hour

Line Cook : $10.00 per hour

Room Attendant : $10.31 per hour

Server : $2.62 per hour plus tips

Hours : Average 30 – 40 hours / week

Housing Detail :

$300 per person, per month for studio and $350 per person, per month for a shared apartment

Housing is employer-assigned upon arrival. Participants will live in either a studio or apartment with other participants. Studio apartments are $300 per person, per month and a shared apartment is $350 per person, per month. Each location has a fully equipped kitchen and living space. Wifi is available in some rooms or in common areas.
