Job Description

Lifeguard : Attend and complete a Lifeguard Training Course hosted by Typhoon Texas for your Ellis & Associates Special Facilities license.
• Attend all related in-service training sessions, 4 hours required each month.
• Operate ride attractions within the waterpark.
• Assist guests on and off the attractions.
• Implement the “10/20 Protection Rule” while on the stand to ensure the safety of guests.
• Perform rescues and utilize lifesaving techniques when required.
• Willfully perform duties in any department of Operations at Typhoon Texas.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for guests and team members.
• Follow all delegated tasks assigned by supervisors/managers or as stated in the Standard Operating Procedures and the Ellis and Associates ILPT.
• Operate queue line and manage Fast Pass to the attraction.
• Provide excellent customer service skills while in all positions.
• You will be certified by licensed instructors upon employment. No previous lifeguard certification is required.

Cook/Cashier : Cooks: Preparing and cooking food: The primary duty of a cook is to prepare and cook food according to recipes or specific instructions. This includes chopping and slicing vegetables, seasoning and marinating meat, and preparing sauces and other components of a meal.

Maintaining cleanliness: Cooks must maintain a clean and hygienic work environment,including the kitchen, equipment, and utensils. This includes washing dishes, cleaningsurfaces, and disposing of waste properly.

Managing inventory: Cooks are often responsible for managing inventory, including orderingsupplies, checking stock levels, and ensuring that all ingredients are available for each recipe.

Following food safety guidelines: Cooks must follow strict food safety guidelines to prevent contamination and ensure that food is prepared and served safely.

Cashiers: Processing payments: Cashiers must be able to accurately process cash, credit card,and other forms of payment, including making change and handling cash registers.

Providing customer service: Cashiers must provide excellent customer service, includ inggreeting customers, answering questions, and resolving any issues that may arise.

Operating equipment: Cashiers may be required to operate various types of equipment, suchas cash registers, credit card machines, and scanners.

Maintaining cash registers: Cashiers are responsible for maintaining and balancing their cash registers, including counting cash and completing daily reports.

Keeping the work area clean: Cashiers must keep their work area clean and organized,including removing trash and debris and keeping shelves and displays stocked.

Assisting with inventory: Cashiers may be responsible for assisting with inventory management, including restocking shelves and monitoring product levels.

Promoting products: Cashiers may be responsible for promoting specific products or sales tocustomers, such as offering discounts or coupons.

Following company policies: Cashiers must adhere to company policies and procedures,including those related to cash handling and customer service.

Park ServicesMaintenance of park facilities: Park services employees are responsible for maintaining park facilities such as buildings, restrooms, picnic areas, and trails. They are also responsible for keeping the park clean and litter-free.

Ensuring visitor safety: Park services employees are responsible for ensuring that visitors are safe while in the park. This includes monitoring visitors for safety hazards, responding to accidents or emergencies, and enforcing park rules and regulations.

Interpretation and education: Park services employees may provide educational programs and interpretive services to park visitors. They may also provide information about park resources, facilities, and recreational opportunities.

Resource management: Park services employees may be responsible for managing park resources such as wildlife, plants, and natural habitats. This may include conducting surveys, monitoring animal populations, and implementing management plans to protect park resources.

Administrative tasks: Park services employees may also be responsible for administrative tasks such as record-keeping, responding to inquiries, and maintaining park records.

Park planning and development: Park services employees may be involved in the planning and development of new park facilities, including trails, campsites, and buildings.

Volunteer management: Park services employees may manage volunteers who help with park maintenance, education, and other tasks.
