Job Description

Deck Duty/Busser: The responsibilities of the deck/busser position include, but are not limited to: clearing tables, taking dirty dishes to the dishwasher, and making sure the front of the house is neat and clean. Duties also include helping clean the front of the house/restaurant in the morning prior to opening, taking out the trash, sweeping the floor, and keeping all tables cleared and clean. Cleaning restrooms may also be required as well as other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Food Service : Participants will work in a food concession and learn how to prepare food and beverage items according to customer orders. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: cleaning, washing dishes, preparing various recipes, opening and closing processes, and using basic equipment such as a grill and fryer. Participants will also be responsible for handling US currency and operating a point of sale system. Additional responsibilities may be assigned by the supervisor as necessary

Kitchen Staff : The Kitchen Staff position is responsible for working various stations in a fast paced kitchen under the direction of an experienced kitchen manager. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: cooking various menu items, following food safety guidelines, stocking, cleaning, washing dishes, daily opening and closing procedures, working as part of an energetic team, and becoming a strong member of the kitchen staff. Additional duties may be assigned by the supervisor as necessary

**Participants will live in the Boardwalk Employee Housing – either a Dormitory or Cottage. The employer will assign the housing location. Dormitory: Participants will share a 2 bedroom unit with 1 full bathroom and one-half bathroom. Each unit is fully furnished with a full kitchen. 4-5 participants will share each unit. Cottage: Participants share a 5-bedroom cottage that has 2 full bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, a living room and a large outdoor deck. The cottage has a washer and dryer, internet access, and is fully furnished.

Transportation to work

Students can walk or ride a bike.
