Prep Cook : Responsibilities include preparing cold foods, slicing vegetables, meats, preparing menu
items in accordance to recipes, and many other tasks designated by the Kitchen Manager. Prep cooks are responsible to maintain the area they work in and must adhere to the cleanliness and sanitation policies in place. Must be able to stand for 8 hours and lift 50lbs. Must have previous experience in the kitchen or a keen interest in culinary arts. Ability to communicate clearly, verbally and written. Some experience in positions involving food preparation is normally preferred for this job or interest in working in a kitchen. Must commit to end of contract date.
Line Cook : This is an advanced level, fast-paced position. Previous kitchen experience required. Line Cooks are responsible for preparation, assembly, and final presentation of ingredients according to the 49th State Brewing Company’s recipes and specifications and ensuring the quality of cooked/prepared food by testing them. These individuals will utilize a large range of kitchen skills, including slicing, grinding, frying, and baking during food service. Line cooks are also responsible for the detection and disposal of unattractive and spoiled foods. They will promote safety culture in all areas in the workplace, including food safety, customer safety, and the safety of team members. Must commit to end of contract date
Dishwasher & Front House Utility :As Dishwasher, you are responsible for unloading the dishes and cutlery brought to them by bussers and loading them into dish trays. The trays are unloaded, then placed into the commercial washers and are cleaned once closed. The commercial dishwashing machines do not accommodate larger pots and pans, so you will be required to wash things by hand.
Dishwashers are responsible for maintaining their workspace and keeping sanitary conditions at all times. This is a hard, physically demanding job. You will have constant exposure to cleaning chemical, hot water, steam from the dishwasher. Floors will be slick, so proper footwear (nonslip) is required. You will stand, bend, lift, and twist repeatedly for long durations. You will also be responsible for sweeping, cleaning, and trash removal. Must clean
grease traps. Must be able to stand for 8 hours and lift 50lbs. **THIS IS A GREAT ENTRY LEVEL JOB FOR A PARTICIPANT WITH INTERMEDIATE ENGLISH**
Barback Must be 21 years or older. People will call on you for EVERYTHING; stocking, cleaning, answering phones, mopping up spills, helping intoxicated customers, driving to the store to get supplies, changing kegs, assisting with delivering food, etc. These are just some of the “hidden” tasks that you’ll be responsible for in a real working environment.
Barback duties Emptying trash cans; Collecting dirty glasses; Wiping down the bar counter; Fetching clean towels; Stocking ice for all the wells; Bringing out clean glassware; Cutting fruit and garnishes for drinks; Stocking juice, liquor, beer, and wine; Changing kegs; Cleaning bathrooms.
Job Requirements : Must be 21 years or older to apply. Some experience in positions involving customer service or food and beverage service is preferred. Must be able to lift 50lbs and stand on your feet for the duration of your shift. This is a multi-floor establishment and you will be required to climb stairs. This is a physically demanding position

Barback ($10.85.00 per hour + Tip **Wages are $10.85 with tips. There is also a $.50/hr bonus offered if participants stay until their contract end date and do not violate company rules/regulations.)
