Job Description

Front Desk Attendant : Front desk duties include but are not limited to greeting and assisting customers, handling reservations, checking customers in and out of motel, processing payments, answering guest questions, answering phones and maintaining cleanliness of hotel lobby. General cleaning and other duties may be assigned by supervisor as necessary.

Housekeeping : Housekeeping duties include but are not limited to picking up after guests, cleaning guest bathrooms, making beds, removing guest linens, dusting furniture and fixtures, washing floors, vacuuming carpeted areas, emptying trash cans, cleaning windows, cleaning showers, sinks, and toilets, keeping the guest rooms stocked with accessories and the bathrooms stocked with supplies, and doing some laundry. Participant will also wash and fold hotel linens. Some cleaning of common areas will be required as well. Some front desk duties may be assigned, pending English level and at the discretion of the employer. Housekeeping requires participants to use cleaning chemicals. General cleaning and other duties will be assigned by supervisor as necessary. Position requires following specific instructions on service, as well as a lot of physical activity including heavy lifting, bending, standing for long periods and walking up and down stairs.

Upper Intermediate – Advanced

Housing

$150 per person, per month; $75 will be deducted per person, per pay period. There are 2 pay periods per month.

**Participant will share studio cabins. Cabin includes a bathroom, cooking facilities, microwave, stove burner, electric skillet, toaster over, refrigerator, pots, pans, utensils and basic furniture. Internet access is available at worksite. Laundry facilities available at main office. Participants must pay first month’s rent upon arrival. The following housing payments will be payroll deducted. Backcountry skiing is available nearby and no ski pass is required in some areas.

Transportation to work

Students can walk or ride a bike.
