Enchanted Forest Water Safari and Calypsos Cove

Calypsos Cove – Food Service : This position is responsible for serving food orders to guests, working a cash register and handling American money, food preparation, cooking, cleaning, presentation, and sales. A top priority is excellent English abilities, being comfortable and willing to learn to work with American money, and suggestive selling (upselling) products.

Participants will be asked to work in different positions at the water park until Calypso’s Cove opens and throughout the entire operating season as needed.

32 hours of work is guaranteed each week however, during times of slow business, whether or not due to inclement weather, hours may be reduced. The schedule might change weekly and participants must be prepared to work accordingly. The employer does not guarantee the same schedule/shifts every week. Shifts for this position typically start at 10:30 a.m. and can end as late as 10:00 pm. Extra hours are available with second jobs within the company. Calypsos Cove – Ride Operator/Arcade Attendant : Ride operators are responsible for the safe, friendly & efficient operation of the rides & attractions. This role is responsible for safely running and supervising attractions such as go-karts, batting cages, bumper boats, rock climbing wall,s and zip lines. Calypso’s Cove workers are asked to fill many different positions, including ride operation, selling attraction tickets/handling money, prize redemption, arcade games, maintenance and more.

Enchanted Forest – Facilities Attendant Team Member : Facilities Attendants clean many very busy female restrooms at Enchanted Forest Water Park and Calypso’s Cove. Responsibilities include cleaning toilets, plunging, emptying trash, sweeping, mopping, restocking paper products as well as:

•Emptying wastebaskets and cleaning them inside and out.
•Cleaning floors with the use of brooms and mops.
•Using chemical-based products to clean sinks, countertops, mirrors, toilets, door panels and changing stalls.
•Replenishing trash bags, soaps, bathroom items, and other supplies.
•Transporting all trash and waste to disposal areas, as instructed.
•Demonstrate a high level of customer service. Respond to and take appropriate action to resolve concerns and complaints of guests.
•Keep supervisor/manager informed of situations relating to facility operation, guest complaints or concerns, accidents, emergency situations, damages, and potential safety hazards.
•Perform all duties in a safe manner.

All employees may be asked to fill in different positions at Water Safari as business needs require. Must be flexible and work when and where you are needed. Shift start times vary between 9:30 am – 12 pm. Shift end times vary between 5:30 pm – 7:30 pm. Scheduled days will vary each week.

Enchanted Forest Grounds Crew Team Member : Grounds Crew team members are responsible for maintaining the grounds of Enchanted Forest Water Safari, including raking, sweeping, garbage removal & other maintenance jobs. This position is also required to provide lunch relief and breaks for other team members who operate amusement and water rides. Enchanted Forest Water Safari is known and respected for the cleanliness of the park’s grounds and facilities.
Customer service skills and safety are a top priority for this job and this position requires participants to be friendly, follow safety rules, be on time to work, and work well in a group and alone

Enchanted Forest Water Ride Operator : Water Ride Operators ensure the safe, efficient & courteous operation of our water rides. They are responsible for enforcing safety rules, greeting guests and making their day more enjoyable. Participants will be trained in how to properly operate water rides & slides as well as monitor shallow pools. Water Ride Operators must know how to swim & be comfortable working outside in all weather conditions.

All Water Ride Operators are required to complete a Water Training Course upon arrival. This training course includes shallow water rescue skills, CPR and basic First Aid. This training is scheduled to take place on June 10th. Other duties may include cleaning your area and assisting with daily operational needs such as providing water and sunscreen to other water.

All employees may be asked to fill in different positions at Water Safari as business needs require. Must be flexible and work when and where you are needed. All positions require team members to assist in keeping the park clean.

Enchanted Forest Water Safari – Amusement Ride Operator : Ride operators ensure the safe, efficient & courteous operation of the amusement rides. Participants are responsible for enforcing safety rules, greeting guests, and making their day more enjoyable. Participants will be trained in how to load, unload & operate various amusement rides. Other duties include cleaning and maintaining amusement ride areas.

All employees may be asked to fill in at different positions at Water Safari as business needs require therefore flexibility is required around work assignments. All positions require team members to assist in keeping the park clean. This may include, but is not limited to, sweeping, mopping, dusting, polishing, washing, skimming, etc. All team members are expected to assist with these functions.

**Housing is located on-site at Enchanted Forest/Water Safari. Participants will live with other J-1 and American college-aged employees. Participants share a building (12-14 students per unit). There is a shared kitchen, coin-operated washer and dryers on-site, and free Wi-Fi in all houses. Participants are expected to participate equally in efforts to keep the entire house clean throughout the entire season to ensure the full refund of the deposit. Participants may be asked to move houses or bedrooms to consolidate at either the beginning or end of the season or any other time due to the unlikely circumstance of maintenance needs. If maintenance is required and/or there is requested maintenance within the housing unit, maintenance staff will enter the house to assess/fix the situation, with or without warning. There is a $10 key replacement fee.
