Job Description

Housekeeping/Staff : Position requires cleaning guest rooms and public and private areas of the hotel, greeting and responding to guest queries, maintaining general appearance of property and housekeeping of rental apartments. Duties include, but are not limited to, cleaning guest rooms and rental apartments by cleaning bathrooms, making beds, removing guest linens, vacuuming, dusting, cleaning floors, showers, sinks, and toilets. Restoking bathroom amenities as well as beverages and food items in minibar, taking out trash, cleaning of common areas, returning and restocking cleaning cart at end of shift and laundry duties will be required as well. General cleaning and other duties may be assigned by the employer as necessary.

Laundry duties include, but are not limited to, laundering and folding hotel linens and maintaining cleanliness of laundry area. Job requires following specific instructions on service, as well as a lot of physical activity including standing for long periods of time, heavy lifting, bending, kneeling and walking up and down stairs and the use of cleaning chemicals.

** Participant will share a motel studio room with up to 2 other participants. Room includes a mini fridge, microwave, hot plate, Wi-Fi, bed linens, and towels. Laundry is available on-site, free of charge. Students are responsible for cleaning their own room and laundering their own linens and towels. Out of respect for fellow roommates, no guests are allowed in the room at any time.
