Busser : Participants working as bussers are responsible for: setting and cleaning tables, chairs and other areas of the restaurant, carrying dishes from kitchen to table or from table to kitchen, mopping and vacuuming floors, and cleaning bathrooms. General cleaning and other duties may be assigned by supervisor as necessary.

Dishwasher :Dishwashers will wash, dry and take care of dishes and provide kitchen assistance as needed. Will lift, carry and empty dish tubs. Will scrape, stack and rinse dishes, load dish trays and run through the dishwasher. Will return clean dishes to proper location in the kitchen. Must be able to work in a hot, wet work environment. General cleaning is required and other duties may be assigned by supervisor as necessary.

Expeditor: Participants working as expeditors are responsible for: organizing food according to tickets entered, acting as a liaison between the cooks and wait staff, and ensuring food items are prepared properly and are ready to be served to guests. May be responsible for packing delivery orders into bags for delivery drivers. General cleaning is required and other duties may be assigned by supervisor as necessary.

Host :Participant working as a host will be responsible for: greeting and seating restaurant guests, maintaining wait list if necessary, and must be able to understand sections assigned to the servers. Additional duties may include working in gift shop which includes selling merchandise, retrieving to-go orders, and handling cash and credit transactions. General cleaning is required and other duties may be assigned by supervisor as necessary.

Line Cook:Participants working as Line Cooks are responsible for: preparing appetizers, entrees, pastas, hot sandwiches, and other dishes. Some general cleaning required. Other duties may be assigned by supervisor as necessary.

Phones : Phone responsibilities include but are not limited to: answering our incoming phone lines, taking phone orders for delivery and/or take-out, and giving information and directing calls to other extensions as needed. Must have pleasant demeanor on the phone and be able to manage multiple phone lines.

Prep Cook: Prep Cooks prepare ingredients for appetizers, entrees, pastas, hot sandwiches, and other dishes. Tasks include, but are not limited to, preparing soups and sauces, chopping vegetables, preparing mozzarella sticks, pizza dough, and other items. Must be friendly and outgoing, and be able to work effectively in a fast paced environment. General cleaning is required and other duties may be assigned by supervisor as necessary.

Salad Prep Cook : Participants working as salad cooks are responsible for preparing salad, sandwiches, and/or dessert items upon receiving orders from guests. They may also be required to run desserts to guest tables. Additional duties include stocking necessary items, maintaining cleanliness of work area, and assisting other employees. General cleaning is required and other duties may be assigned by supervisor as necessary.

Server : Participants working as servers are responsible for: greeting customers, taking orders, delivering food and drinks, clearing and cleaning tables, and assisting guests with a smile and friendly attitude. Must be able to learn the menu. Menu knowledge is very important. While servers earn tips, participants hired as servers are guaranteed to earn at least $7.25 per hour to meet local minimum wage. Servers are expected to give a portion of their tips to the bartender, busser and/or food runners, based on which of those positions are on shift at the time.

Servers can also expect to work at least one shift per week as a food runner, depending on the rotation. Food runner responsibilities include running appetizers, carrying second trays for large tables, and helping out where needed. General cleaning is required. $100 per person, per week
Deposit Amount $310

**Housing is located off-site at International Residence Hall. Rent cost is $100 per person, per week, with a $200 deposit and a $110 administration fee. The deposit is due at least 30 days before arrival, and the administration fee and rent for the first 2 weeks are due upon check-in (total = $510 per person). If a participant needs to cancel because their visa is denied, the deposit will be refunded with proof of denial. International Residence Hall is dormitory-style housing, with large, dorm style bathrooms. Each room contains 3-4 beds (may include bunk beds). Each floor of the housing has a community kitchen and dining room. Laundry facilities are available on site. In the Community & Administration Building, there is a large area for occupants to rest and relax. The community room has couches, a TV, a ping pong table, and a billiard table. Participants are expected to clean up after themselves and help with keeping housing and common areas clean. International Residence Hall does not allow any alcohol in common areas including the kitchen, laundry, community room, or outside. Failure to adhere to this policy could lead to eviction from housing.
